About Miss Maryland Elementary

The Miss Maryland Elementary Pageant for girls in Preschool through Fourth grade and is the sister program to the Miss Maryland Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant.  Our goal is to provide a fun pageant atmosphere, along with mentoring and appearance/community service opportunities throughout the year.  Miss Maryland Elementary winners and contestants are invited to attend Crown Academy during Nationals week. 

There is no contract for the winners and you are able to compete in other pageants during your year.  We do ask that our 3 winner do at least one appearance/community service per month during their year.

Who can be a MD Elementary Contestant?

The Miss Maryland Elementary Pageant is open to any Maryland or District of Columbia girl who is going into Preschool to Fourth Grade as of September 1, 2018.

Areas of Competition

Introduction 50%

Each contestant will give their personal introduction on stage.  Their 30 second introduction will include: their name, grade, school, interests, goals, future ambition, community involvement/service, and other information about herself.

 

Formal Wear 40%

Contestants select an age appropriate dress, either short or long that best reflects her personality and style.  No high-glitz dresses.

Community Service 10%

 Each contestant will be asked to bring an item(s) to be donated to a non-profit organization.  Please keep donations under $20.

Miss Maryland Elementary winners will each receive:

• Crown

• Embroidered State Sash

• Trophy

• Gift

• Crowning moment on stage by current MD titleholder

• Opportunity to make appearances and do community service during  the year*

      *Our 3 elementary winners are asked to do at least one appearance/community service per month and submit to the              

       state pageant office, along with photos.

• Invitation and Scholarship* to attend Crown Academy at the 2018 National Pageant

           *Must have 5 or more contestants in each elementary division to receive scholarship for Crown Academy.  Scholarship will be

           awarded after attendance at Crown Academy during Nationals week.

How to Enter

Entry Fee*: $150

Deadline to Enter is June 30.

*Entry fee is non-refundable, non-transferable.
