Maryland State Executive Director

Amber Smith

Amber is no stranger to pageantry having competed since 2003.  She has held numerous local, state, and regional titles along with a national title.  She has been awarded several state and national awards for photogenic, academic achievement, best interview, overall appearances, and community service.  Amber has also volunteered and served as a judge for several local and state pageants.

 

Amber was Miss Pennsylvania Collegiate America 2012 and was awarded the Miss Collegiate America Spirit Award and the first Miss Collegiate America Community Service Award at the 2012 National Pageant in San Antonio, Texas.  Amber joined the national staff of the Miss Jr. High, High School, and Collegiate America Pageant in April of 2012 as the Director of Appearances and Community Service.  At the 2013 National Pageant in Orlando, FL, Amber was honored by the pageant with having the National Community Service award named after her, The "Amber Smith" Outstanding Community Service Award.  During the 2014 pageant season, Amber volunteered as the Director for the At-Large State Titleholders.  And, in April of 2014 Amber was named the state executive director for the Pennsylvania state pageant.  In September of 2017, Amber was appointed the state executive director for the Maryland state pageant.

 

Amber is a recipient of the President's Lifetime Call to Service Award for over 4,000 hours of volunteer service,  received a citation from The Senate of Pennsylvania for her accomplishments, and was honored in the Altoona Mirror Blair County Proud feature for her volunteer efforts.  In 2017, Amber was name to the Altoona Mirror's 20 under 40 for her hard work and dedication to serving as the Pennsylvania State Executive Director.

 

Amber holds a Masters of Education degree from Saint Francis University and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from The Pennsylvania State University.
